DIRECTV dropping OANN?
How could you bow down to the WOK cancel culture demands to dropping OANN? They do not lie! The "big lie of the 2020 election" is absolutely true. There is mountains of evidence of the election steal. All the misinformation comes from liberals not conservatives! My husband and I will be dropping Directv if you go thru this in April. I will convince all our friends and family to do likewise. This is an attack on freedom of speech and our country. Shame on you!!!!

One American News is by far my favorite news outlet. I understand that you are maybe being forced to drop OAN because ATT owns 70% of direct tv. I will let you know that the day you drop OAN is the day I will cancel my Direct TV cable. I am also a pastor and I will post to my Facebook page and when I teach I will tell everyone why I dropped your service. I know that I will not make much of a difference but I believe my one voice will influence others and hopefully enough will stand up and say bring back free speech.

Agree 100%. Dish doesn't offer OANN so it looks like we well go to streaming only. No major networks are worth my freedom of speech. ATT offered me a big discount to stay on their network and I said "principles are not for sale at any price". In the words of our founders, "don't tread on me!"

Posting again as I don’t see too many folks noting that they’ll cancel in April. Seriously, hold off until April. DTV needs to see a real impact in monthly revenue!
Also, call NOW, and ask for customer loyalty and ask that they please let management know you’re going to cancel in April if OAN is dropped.
Get this out on Facebook, Twitter, all your social media sources. The woke left will be doing the exact same thing - pushing to drop OAN - so we must be smart about this. Call now but don’t drop until April.

To all, DirectTV employees have repeatedly posted in this forum that they don’t care what their customers like to watch or the fact they are concerned about a ‘woke cancel culture’ political move which canceled OAN. The posts of “its already a done deal nothing you say or threaten to do will change that” or “Bye” shows a complete lack of empathy of the very customers who help pay their salaries.
Cancel now and go to another streaming service or just get the apps for the channels you want to watch alacarte. There is no point of waiting until April. I’m smiling my contract with DirectTV terminates on 6 Feb as it makes me sick to fund a company that bows down to the far left to cancel con…servatives. I’d put money on Newsmax getting canceled next.
Unfortunately this behavior will not get fixed until conservatives get control of senate later this year and Trump is back in the White House in 2024. AT&T cooperate executives will regret their decision as this is going to bite them back in the end. There is nothing they can do to change the outcome of 2022 and 2024: A red surge has already begun.

Good post, I think I will not wait either… Directv streaming is only a few bucks less than cable. Political (Edited per community guidelines) and expensive…

re Cancellation of OAN. I am a long time Direct TV customer and I do not like them censoring news channels like OAN. In the event they remove OAN from their channel lineup I will no longer remain a customer.

This whole move is some what emblematic to the Sinking of the RMS Titanic.
Iceberg warnings came in ignored (Customer's complaining don't drop OANN). CEO ignores them like Captain Edward Smith ignores the Iceberg warnings and slowdown. April 15, 1912 Sinking of the RMS Titanic. The end of OANN Directv carriage agreement April 2022. Directv lose 1000's of customers goes bankrupt CEO Fired.

I have been a log time DirecTV customer. I have been (relatively) happy with the programming lineup BEFORE ATT came into the picture. My bill increases every year and I usually call to complain and somehow they find a discount offer to keep me as a customer. (Grrrrr)
But, this news of ATT dropping OANN will be the stake through my heart. Like the customer above, I will be forced to leave DirecTV if that happens. It has less to do with liking OANN than it does that I like to hear both sides of all the political and HEALTH issues in the USA these days.
PLEASE do NOT drop OANN. Surely it doesn't hurt your business to keep it and keep this portion of your long time loyal Customers.

I've been researching alternate TV providers for the past few weeks. I've already signed up for KlowdTV and can get OAN for $30/yr on both of my Firesticks (and for free on my computers). For others, even if you get the free version, you can watch OAN, not live but rebroadcasts of the past two weeks, hour by hour which isn't too bad. I can still get OAN on my local cable provider and may go back to cable TV, since I have them for internet anyway & it will save me $20 over DTV and give me some of the other cable channels I've lost over the years thanks to DTV moving them to more expensive packages. It's only a matter of time when I cancel and am going to hold on as long as I can for April, clearing my DVR, trying to figure out where I can watch programs that I have set to record etc. OAN has been keeping me on DTV, as I have considered leaving before the announcement but since I have access to OAN, I've stayed. Just have to consider the loss of DVR or find another method to record shows and movies. I rarely watch live TV, preferring to FF through commercials which can't be done with "On Demand" programming. Get the word out to others who may not know about this thread, so they are not surprised, come April, that they can't watch OAN on DTV anymore. As disgusted as I am with AT&T for taking part in this decision, I am less inclined to cancel my cell service (11+ years) but am also researching other cell providers but it's a small market when I don't want to utilize Verizon, T-Mobile or Sprint, and for the smaller carriers that I'd consider, I'd want to use the ones who use AT&T/VZW networks anyway so it is less important for me to cancel my cell service. Wondering if it's time, once again, for AT&T to be split up like they were back in the 80s(?).

@SuzsP1245. I agree 100% with your post. We are looking at all the avenues to drop DTV now. We have had them for 20 years now, and other than a few series, which we record, we basically watch other forms of TV instead. I will save $180 a month by telling DTV how I disapprove of the sensorship. Next they will go after my bank account for disagreeing with their agenda. Its coming folks. Total suppression.
