DIRECTV dropping OANN?
How could you bow down to the WOK cancel culture demands to dropping OANN? They do not lie! The "big lie of the 2020 election" is absolutely true. There is mountains of evidence of the election steal. All the misinformation comes from liberals not conservatives! My husband and I will be dropping Directv if you go thru this in April. I will convince all our friends and family to do likewise. This is an attack on freedom of speech and our country. Shame on you!!!!

Here is a thought.....It is with Great Anticipation I look forward to the DIRECTV CEO being hauled in-front of the Senate and the House Committee explaining their dropping OANN.... Once the Republicans take back the House and God willing the Senate... So StandBy To Be Amazed Folks!!

The DirecTV CEO does not have to explain to the Senate their choice for not continuing to pay OANN. As a business, not a government run entity, they have that freedom of choice.

Since when are TV providers required to pay for and carry certain channels? They choose to move on. Yes, people have the right to be upset and make their choice accordingly but requiring an explanation would be an overreach.
And for all this "StanndBy To Be Amazed Foks!!", this isn't Ringling Brothers or some cheap side show. DirecTV exercised their freedom regarding channel negotiations. It matters not if you or I like such a choice or not as it was still their choice. Don't like it, then find another place where you cannot make your own choices and instead have them forced upon you by the "higher authority".

Hey Cochise there was a previous post with links to media from @ElmerFudd79 you may want to go back and read! I am old enough to remember President Johnson saying "If I've lost Walter Cronkite, then it's over.". The "Silent Majority" has had it pretty much up to their eyebrows with the likes of ATT/Directv/Big Tech Et al. So when they are all sitting in front of the cameras in the hearings (It Won't be on Directv) under oath.. under penalty of perjury asking them to explain that info. I suggest they follow their attorney's advice and remain silent. If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.. A Great Day Is Coming my Friend.........

Well, "You don't like it, you are free to go elsewhere" is the reality.
Sorry, this isn't DirecTV valuing feedback or not. I'm a customer just like you, though one with a different viewpoint.

Wow, DirecTV edited the word "C0ns@rvativ@"....
Original Comment: [Would like to inform DirecTV management that I will be cancelling my DTV service if OAN is dropped. I am a long time customer (was a Hughes Communications Inc employee) and was involved in the development of the DirecTV service/company and rollout in early-mid '90's. So sad to see DirecTV silencing free speech and (Edited per community guidelines) programming.

@cindyrr randall.stephenson retired awhile ago and none of those emails are valid
While AT&T employees do look at forum posts from time to time, we are here to represent the forum with our experiences as customers and do not represent AT&T in any official capacity with our responses and do so on our own time unpaid and off the clock. As employees we are not rewarded nor compensated to participate in these forums This forum is comprised of regular customers to communicate with other customers to offer advice and share experiences same as any other user Although there is a small team of customer care specialists that monitor the forums the sheer volume of posts are simply too many posts for these agents to respond to each one of them.

@ElmerFudd79
Yes, I have a lot of posts. Got help in the forum years ago. I then started participating more and more discussing with others and trying to be of help as I had received. Sometimes that means providing another valid perspective.
Regardless of the amount of participation I have, I am still just a customer. I am not an employee. AT&T and DirecTV show nowhere on my LES.
