Bill credit

I was given bill credit for Sunday ticket charge that I didn’t want to subscribe to. But it’s still showing on my bill. How long does it take for credit to reflect on my bill?

There is no set answer. It depends on when you called relative to your bill cycle. You may have to call again. It took me two calls last year to cancel Sunday Ticket (first call) and get credit for the first payment (second call). If you do end up having to make one of those payments, you will get it credited back. What you can’t do is pay less than owed and assume the credit will cover the difference.

Thanks for the input! That’s exactly what it took! I called Tuesday, stating I wanted to cancel Sunday ticket and to have the charge removed from my bill. They said it would take 72 hours. So Friday comes around still same charge on my bill! So I call again wanting explanation and the person states that the bill credit was rejected by the system the first time. So they assured me they fixed the problem and added bill credit which they said went through. They again said it would take within 72 hours to reflect on my bill so I guess we will see. I won’t pay any amount of the bill until that charge is removed.

When the NFL Sunday Ticket is opted out of the auto renew and current season, their system credits back all installments already billed. If you have only seen one installment wiped out, that suggests agent did a manual credit and didn't remove it properly. That you will have to verify with DirecTV.

However, refusing to pay bill doesn't avoid late fees or interruption. Something to be cautious of.
