If your bill has normal due date of today then you would be fine. Their system doesn't count it "past due" until the service month starts over, at which point the new bill would show the carry over balance, late fee charged, and date service would be interrupted if the outstanding part is not paid by.

If you are already in the new service month with service interruption scheduled before you can make the payment, then call DirecTV to discuss a payment arrangement. This is a public forum, so we don't have access to your account.

I would also consider reviewing the channels your household uses. You can change your package at any time, so you could lower it for a few months and then raise it back up when comfortable for your budget. If you choose to do so and have a DVR, fill up a library of recordings (from live TV, not On Demand) that you can use as a backup since they were recorded while you had the channels.
