Costco and Directv Offer

One year ago, we accepted an exclusive Costco and Directv offer for service at a discounted rate as long as we maintained our Costco membership. We are still Costco members. This month, our discount was not applied. How do we receive a credit on our account for the month of June and resume our exclusive offer?

Those salespersons in Costco are not DTV/AT&T employees they work for a third party company that sends the order to DTV and say anything to get their commission.

AT&T CEO has stated there will be no more discounts several months ago

Thanks for the info. I guess we were too trusting.

Sales people haven't changed in hundreds of years. But there is better tracking on info now.

Personally I say follow "trust but verify". Don't simply assume they are going to give false info, but protect yourself by reading the paperwork. Sometimes it is just a miscommunication or a honest error by the agent. If the paperwork doesn't match exactly what you understood you were getting, that is your opportunity to ask any follow-up question, modify the order to fit better, or close completely if it will not work for you.

go back to costco, talk to the salesman, you will find out he lied

then go look at the order confirmation you were emailed prior to install, that is what you agreed to

DirecTV intro offers are 12 month discount. There are no price for life type of options.

Sales agents at Costco work for a 3rd party (usually Smart Circle) that send new orders to other companies. Too often such salespeople will say anything to make the sale.

The order confirmation from DirecTV would have listed what discounts you were receiving and for how long. The bill also counts those down such as $30 off for 12, 1 of 12 (2 of 12, 3 of 12, etc.).

No matter what a sales agent says, read the paperwork provided from the company. In this case the sales agent lied. You can complain at the specific location, or call the 3rd party reseller, but you will not get further discount. This is because DirecTV is providing you what is on the order they have with confirmation sent to you, and that you accepted by having service installed and signing off with tech's handheld that the order was correct.

Pretty sure this is a duplicate post under a different user name 🤔 the answer isn't going to change no matter how many user names you create.

It could be someone else experienced the same thing we did. 🤔 From what I've been told, it happens pretty often. It's unfortunate we trusted a salesperson. Then, we were lied to and blindsided. My next step is to file a complaint with the BBB. Noble Marketing is the name of the third party that lied to us at Costco.
