customer service

Credits promised on DirectTV account, but not given.  I have talked to 4 customer service reps but received the 'runaround'!  Every phone call is supposed to be recorded,  so why can't they just listen to the recordings to verify my credit?

Several years ago I had a problem and had to go all the way to the CEO's secretary to get it resolved.  She was extremely pleasant, understanding, and professional.  Solved my problem immediately and we had a long conversation about AT&T's customer service representatives and the training problem they were having.  I have had no problems since then until now.  My DirectTV (which I signed up for thinking that the customer service would improve) initial contract price ran out and I was told that I could get a new deal on a specific date if I didn't cancel my service and that I would receive a credit for the 2 months left until that date.  I received one credit and when I called to see what the new deal would be, I was told that not only would I not get the other credit promised, but I would have to wait for 8 months to get a new discounted deal!  I'm done with AT&T and will cancel all my accounts as the contracts run out.  I have been with them since Ma Bell days and hate to leave, but I no longer have the patience to deal with the poor customer service.  I guess my 4 phones and DirectTV  service means very little to them!

Promotional discounts don't last forever. AT&T is losing money on their TV services and is no longer so generous with extending these sweet deals. You can reduce your costs by trimming channels or boxes you're not using.  Or switch providers and take advantage of their sweet deal for a year or two.

Thanks for the information. I didn't think so, but it really makes
no difference. After so many years of good service and then so many years
of fighting with them, I'm just tired of it and finally going to switch
provider. Might as well go with Walmart!!!

I know it's a customer grabber, but that's not an excuse to be lied to and
get the runaround! And I will be switching! Thanks for reaching out!

Received quote for cost reduction to all of our services during chat request to upgrade all of our services with ATT. Cost savings never materialized on bill and services were not provided. Unable to contact same chat person. Told that I couldn't email chat log and to take it to local ATT store. Roanoke TX ATT told me to take it to a corporate store. Southlake TX corporate store told us they couldn't honor the chat. They told us the best recourse was to post on ATT forum since others see this and will know there is NO ACCOUNTABILITY at ATT !!  It's not all that surprising since we see the same level of inattention, price manipulation and poor, poor service at our corporate account with ATT.  ATT too big ??
