Direct tv is a scam

Moved and was never told that automatically puts you into another contract! My contract should of ended today but all of a sudden there is no promotions for current customers and can't cancel because they want a early termination fee for something i was aware of. I was one month out from end of contract and taking to one of the agents to set up move she gave us a deal and yes we agreed to accept the contract but once i got my bill there is no record of the new deal on notes or anything. Requested that they go back to recording of call they claim they can't. Also i have cell, internet and tv as a bundle. I mentioned that I'd rather cancel and they don't care! I'm over at&t all the way around!

Never told about contract, but talked to agent and agreed to contract? That contradicts itself.

In either case, even if agent neglected to mention the 12 month agreement for the move (or 24 months if with upgrade of equipment), the order confirmation plainly lists it. When you sign off with the tech you are accepting that order and install are correct.

Calls might be monitored for training/quality purposes, so are not all calls and not for record keeping. A bad agent does not make DirecTV itself a scam. If the order confirmation did not match what you expected, that was your opportunity to call and discuss it. Never neglect reviewing the paperwork.

Well either way it was a scam. I did not receive any emails regarding confirmation for move or details of any restrictions or anything stating that a move or additional equipment would lock us in a contract. What we did agree about was the price of a package that would go into effect once move was completed! But after getting first bill that was not the case nor do they see any notes on account of course so apparently myself as a customer is wrong and not misled by Direct tv? So i will continue to contest the bill and will be leaving At&t from all services! I will continue to reach customer service and social media to get what is expected by any consumer and that is pay for what is promised by any company.

Movers order have come with a 12 month agreement for a couple decades.

DirecTV is essentially stopped discounts being offered. Their CEO announced publicly a while back they are weeding out accounts operating at a loss. Whether there was a valid option and agent didn't complete, or that agent flat out lied, submitting complaint to DirecTV is the option.

If there is no notes or confirmation showing a change in price of your services, then there is nothing to contest. Without proof that shows otherwise, they will consider billing valid as is. However if proof is found, that doesn't guarantee you will get the price if it wasn't a valid offer to begin with as agents can only select options their system provides them. Good luck.
