How can I find my contract details?
I'm looking to switch to a more affordable tv plan, how can I find my contract to see if there is a plenty and the date the contract is up?

You can change your TV plan at any time, regardless if you have a service agreement or not.
Calling DirecTV, like most other companies, is the only way to verify the agreement date. This is because the most common reason to want that info is thinking about canceling. As such they want a live agent to discuss the situation and see if they could retain your business.
Service agreement is valued at $20 for each month remaining. Just depends on how many months left you have. Also don't try to cancel mid-cycle as billing still counts for the full service month.

Just call them and tell them you want to lower your cost and ask for any deals they have. They are not as good when it was just DTV. Don't let them bully you

ECF/ETF is $20 per unused month. The only way to reduce your bill is to lower your channel package or remove TVs.
