How do I send a message to upper management over what poor service and high prices are forcing me to end service after 28 years
I have been through a living (Edited per community guidelines) over the past 45 days with Direct TV jacking up my rates by 35%? I have been through many problems over the past 28 years and thought this was better then cable. For awhile it was but recently your prices have become outrageous. I was insulted when calling for the issue when I was only offered $5.00 off my service. I will leave effecting 4-6-25 and unless some sanity is restored to Direct TV you will go the same way as K Mart, Woolworth, and Sears to name a few failed businesses. AT & T really screwed up the company and now they are dumping the remains on a private equity firm which I have no faith that they will fix the damages done by AT & T. I have ended all ties I used to have with AT & T and will never go back for anything. This is how Direct TV treats loyal customers who have been around for 3 decades.

28 years is a long time, and we'd like you to stay, @Navyveteran. DIRECTV aims to maintain low programming costs year-round, but occasionally need to adjust pricing due to rising cost of delivering content. We have a specialist available to help you with your post. Sending you a DM now. John, DIRECTV Community Team

Then do something to bring my price every month back to what I can pay. Stop using overseas p[hopne banks where they have no authority to make any adjustments. Someone can call me if you are serious but after my last interaction on Monday I am not holding my breath.

Unless someone can get my bill back to a reasonable amount then any calls would be a waste of time. You can never get anyone in the US and your service has dropped dramatically
I guess Direct TV does not care about losing a 28 year customer and addressing my concerns.

DTV service is delivering channels via satellite that is still happening. All TV providers have no control over what the content providers (channels) send them. All TV providers have to raise their prices as the content providers raise their rates. When was the last time gas was 99 cents a gallon?

I have checked out all and the bottom line is your so called loyalty department would only give me a $5.00 break for 3 months. After 28 years this is an INSULT

Traditional cable/satellite providers are losing subscribers. You're lucky they offered you any discount. Streaming providers are raising rates, too. Good luck with your next provider.

If you want to form an offical complaint then file a BBB (Better Bisness Bureau Complaint). These complaints are supposed to go to the corporate offices and they used to be responded to in a timely manner. But anyways if you are looking for free TV and are able to stream there are a lot of Free Streaming Services out there such as PlutoTV, you could even try out the My Free Directv! LOL!

DirecTV only adjusts rates once a year. Like all TV providers they have to account for networks raising their rates. TV provider's costs go up then naturally ours eventually do as well. Streaming providers are catching up in that respect and closing any price gap you may see, especially when you account for having multiple streaming platforms to cover all the content you want as some of those providers are very specific with their content.
Pay TV is luxury entertainment. Regardless of how long you've been with them, they do not owe you any discount. And a while back they did a in-depth financial review and determined that some customers got too much in discounts (too high or for too long). They have to keep it profitable of course.
In the end it is your responsibility to manage service within your means, not expect them to cut costs because you want more than you can afford. Like many other companies, DirecTV does not call you upon demand. They are busy handling customers who called them. They don't have agents just waiting around to call someone. So review the channels you watch and see if you are in the best package for your viewing habits and cost.
But in the end it sounds like you want something that isn't the reality. So call DirecTV and cancel and wherever you go just understand nobody owes you a discount to watch TV.
