Issues with Direct TV
I wrote earlier this month around the 17th. Not only did the customer service teams of the 3rd party branch off of Direct tv lie to me the tech did a half job of putting up the direct tv dish, was half mounted on my roof. and the rest was taped. I did not receive a email stating I was contracted to Direct TV as was told either. Cancel my account without charge. Was deceived and lied too... not a way to do business.

Not going to happen once you sign the handheld you are locked into 2 years as for the dish you have to call to get it fixed.

It is DirecTV, not Direct TV. Just something to be cautious of so you don't fall prey to any scams out there.
So the agent told you they were outsourced 3rd party? Or were you dealing with a 3rd party retailer to begin with? Regardless, verify on the order confirmation or other resources the facts compared to what an sales agent tells you.
If the tech's work is incomplete/sub-standard, then call DirecTV and submit a complaint on the appointment with a request for a tech back out to fix the issue.
Once installed and activated, you only have 24 hours before the service agreement is locked in. After that you will pay an Early Cancellation Fee (ECF) valued at $20 for each remaining month of your 24 month agreement.
Not only do you not have the control to dictate "no charge", you must call to cancel. This is a public forum of other customers, so no action is taken on your account here. When you call DirecTV, say "cancel" at the voice prompt to route you so you don't have to deal with multiple transfers.

The representative of Direc TV said quote write me a letter saying u want to here recorded message of consent for Direc TV. Have written the letter with a cancel notice from me written in letter also.

Only about 7% of the calls are recorded for training and quality control according to one post.
You have to call DTV to cancel.

Shannon02 I know, I will write a letter to her just to see what she say's Will canc before end of month. Is not a good business practice they have going. :(

Also today found out that they gave me the wrong address to write Saginaw mi. It is in Port Huron, Mi. Same address only in Port Huron Mi. One more thing that is non professional.

When tech installs you have to sign something (usually handheld these days as opposed to a paper), to verify install is complete and accepted. If you signed nothing and nobody else in your household did, that is a concern. That being done also makes sure the tech gets paid for work.
DirecTV like many companies monitors calls randomly for training and quality purposes, not record keeping. And if you were speaking with a 3rd party authorized reseller, then any such monitoring is internal only.
You could certainly try a BBB complaint as that hits the corporate level. Not a guarantee you will get what you want, but is a chancel to take this higher.

Juniper, Have a letter written to BBB tried to go online to send letter to BBB could not get past 2nd level. Red lettering saying no Social Security Numbers excepted.. Did not have a ss number in letter. Tried 3 times, wrote a letter and am calling first and sending to local BBB. Thanks

Perhaps you had some number listed that it was mistaking for your SSN. Either omit such detail, or reformat it so not confused with SSN.

Sent a registered letter to Direc TV corporate was signed and form sent back to me. Called BBB about problems with their site waiting for a reply. Hope to have a form sent or emailed to me.
