What are the hours for Live Chat with Direct TV?

General support daily, 8 a.m. – 12 a.m. ET

My understanding is Chat has the same hours of regular support. However it is a small team itself so only shows when an agent is available. Though it may not have as much reduction (if at all) in staff as call centers from Covid-19, there are a lot more customers trying to use it right now because of the high hold times.

However, sometimes other customers can be a great source of information. Either to get answers you need, or to provide guidance so that when you do get an agent on phone or in chat, you are prepared. So feel free to post the situation if you would like to do so.

Right, as all the CSRs are on the phone so there are none to chat. Same as billing hours don't remember when they open but they close at midnight ET.

Please help  My mom just moved into an assisted living facility  they provide Direct TV.  She is 97 and needs assistance with the channel lineup and how the remote buttons work

You need to get into contact with the directv for business dealer that is in charge of the assisted living facility. Residential directv support cannot assist with the facility, only commercial DIRECTV support. Try contacting someone at your mother’s facility to ask about the directv dealer. If no response, you can call actual directv business support at 800-388-2505.
