Multiple User ID's
I have 2 homes with two separate account numbers that are both linked to my primary email address. The problem is that when I log into my profile, only one of the accounts is there. I tried clicking the "link additional accounts" option, but I don't know how to access the other account. When I enter the account number and billing address, I get a hard stop. When I tried the "forgot user ID" option, I'm asked for a FAN PIN which I have no idea what it is. I called customer service and they said they couldn't help me without the PIN, so I had to go into an AT&T store. When I went into the store, they told me that they couldn't help with any online access issues, and that I would have to call customer service. Beyond frustrated because I keep getting the email for the additional account every month that the bill is due, but when I click to pay, I can't access the account no matter what I try. It shouldn't be this hard, someone please HELP!

DirecTV currently doesn't have a way to have multiple accounts with the same login. Either that "link accounts" is for other AT&T services, or perhaps they are planning on implanting an option in the future for those with a 2nd home.

That is a really stupid setup by DirecTV.
We have about 6 different lodges/cabins that have DirecTV.
They send all of the reminders to one email address, but there is no way to see all of our accounts on one page. They say that there has to be a separate email for each account, so we'd have to go in and set up emails, just for DirecTV.
I suggested that they change that, but I doubt they care. We are switching some of our cabins up to just let guests use their own streaming services, so I guess if DirecTV doesn't care about streamlining things for their customers, they'll probably see a drop in accounts.

DTV now has the C71KW Gemini client that can stream from streaming services without switching the TV input.

What does that have to do with this thread?

You mentioned streaming services as part of your complaint. So you were given info that DirecTV does have a Client box that can support streaming services, which also includes that they have a separate provider (DIRECTV STREAM or DirecTV via Internet) that are streaming-only services. So other options depending on individual needs.
Beyond that, this is a thread from about 5 years ago (2020). Best to start a new thread specific to your issue so you don't risk outdated information (such as AT&T got out of the TV service and sold their remaining stake in DirecTV) from digging up a very old discussion.
