NHL Center Ice...any refund coming soon???

I've paid for my 2019/20 Center Ice in full. However since there is no Hockey in the foreseeable future, Directv has gotten awful quiet on where the remainder of my subscription status is. This is the first step, since they've "disabled the Chat Box" that used to pop up every time I logged on. Anybody else have the same situation??? Any resolution??? Should I have to call in to get an explanation???

The NHL has not cancelled any games, yet, just postponed them. There is nothing to credit you for yet.

Agreed, thanks for the answer. Wait and see like everything else!

@sandblaster The NHL is done for the season! Many players went home to other countries, and Its no doubt that any remaning pre-playoff games and then the play-offs would be greatly altered with such a break and thats even if the arena's and TV networks could get everything back in once this is over. - The seasons over.... period.

The NHL is still talking about finishing the remaining games. When and if games get cancelled, I’m sure you’ll get the appropriate credit.

Why would you say that? The NHL is still talking about playing the season out. When and if any games actually get cancelled, I’m sure you’ll get the appropriate credit.

How did I get here? Why is it the whole forum is full of people that think they are owed something? Or entitled to something I’m not on att side or answering for them. I’m just the only customer it seems that is grateful for their service. So i plan on continuing to figure out how to keep my phone going by paying the bill and not hoping they are gonna refund coronavirus outbreaks. Att is not responsible for the outbreak why should they foot the bill. I know I’m not footing anyone’s bill because I got family to feed. And I don’t want att footing my bill because it wouldn’t buisness smart if they did that for too long they wouldn’t be in buisness. I just came here trying to figure out how to get a hotspot on a prepaid plan.

@Snoop911 Agreed. Like Alice in Wonderland, I feel like we've fallen down the Rabbit Hole and nothing makes sense anymore.

I equate it to a tornado that damages your house. Did the tornado target your house? No. Are you totally inconvenieced? Yes. Are you mad at the tornado? Maybe but you pick yourself up and figure out how to make things right....and you go on.

Is there any consideration for crediting NHL Package subscribers due to the suspension of Hockey?

Look, guys (and girls).....until the NHL decides how many games they are going to play/air and the schedule and TV aspect of it gets figured out, you will have to wait. No, you are not going to get something for nothing, which seems like the approach for the more "entitled" few of you on here. You paid your bill, let them figure it out. If they do it right, no problem, If not, then you have a gripe. You seemed so happy when they aired the 70 games (per team) or so you got to watch....now you want a full refund because you missed 12 games? We've missed about 14% of the season.....or about a $20 subscription refund value. Relax.....

New Member

Right, but it isn't THEIR $20, right?

New Member

Who's asking for a full refund? We can get a full refund for NHL Center ice? You're damn right I'm getting whatever is prorated money coming back to me in a credit. LOL

If they are canceled then it is up to center ice to return the money to DTV to credit/refund it.

The NHL hasn't officially canceled the season, only postponed it. There are not credits for what might/potentially happen, only what actually happens. If canceled then adjustments would be expected. Until then, no change.

They have an announcement page for anything that changes per Covid-19. At the moment NHL Center Ice is not listed as no adjustments (yet), but of course subject to change as it continues longer or if the NHL change their official status.

Seems the NHL is counting the regular season "completed" not "canceled". If so, then no credits are expected.

If that changes, then AT&T/DirecTV will provide updates as needed.

Effective 20 July 2020 AT&T / Direct TV has  billed, received & kept 100% of my payments. AT&T did NOT refund any funds or offer TV NHL Network credits  to me even though NHL TV games start 29 July 2020.  Send me a cash refund before 29 July 2020 or I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. @WilliamCallaway

Since NHL considered the season "completed", there have not been refunds. So if NHL didn't refund, there is no refund to pass on to you no matter what you demand.

This is a public forum of other customers. Though agents over the phone cannot give a different answer unless the NHL changes their stance on the situation.
