Paying Final Bill

I am not able to access my DirecTV account after I ended my service. I am trying to pay my final bill but need to add a different credit card in order to pay.

Have you ever seen or experienced a lock out of a cancelled AT&T and/or DirecTV account that is not paid in full? There should be a delay with denying access to an account until the final payment(s) have been made.

Once the account is canceled, the online access goes with it. If an account has been suspended for past due then it is still available, but if it progresses further into full disconnect then it is no longer available.

I agree it would be nice if account access stayed available to pay final bill. I guess that by calling in this gives them a chance to try and regain a customer. And in case someone had any grandfathered options, the account would have to go through a fresh setup.
