We’ll Peggy, not much more to say. You are hopelessly disillusioned. You can’t help the intelligence you were born with but at least try to realize there are forces at work that are not favorable to our country and you have completely fallen into their web of deception.
Our constitution was founded on the principles of differing opinions and the right to express them. It was brilliant. But people like you are not intellectually equipped to see that and feel that only one way is the right way. You’d fit well into a socialist /communist society. Unfortunately, you’re not likely intelligent enough to see that. Sad. But kudos to those controlling the media. It’s working. They are dividing and slowly bringing America down.

Hey, Peggy...these guys are piling up on you for something that I requested. Sorry about that. My original request was actually quite simple and does not require all this vitriol.
A lot of these commenters seem to have a copy of the Constitution where the 1st Amendent says "DirecTV shall make no laws.." instead of "Congress...". All the bigots, racists and deplorables that call Fox home can say whatever they want. No one is asking for them to be silenced. I just would prefer that I not be required to subsidize that rhetoric as a condition of being a DirecTV subscriber. I don't understand why that is so hard to understand.
But just remember: Everything is impossible...until it isn't.

As long as DirecTV has the channel, and it is in your package you pay for it. You cannot remove an individual channel yourself from being funded from your price paid.
If DirecTV upon end of the carriage agreement does not seek to continue carriage, only then would you not be paying for it. Yes, as customers we would prefer to pay only for the exact channels we want. But that is not how the industry is setup as it is designed as packages, from the networks to the TV providers and then to us.
I do not care if anyone else on here watches the same channels or not. I respect variety, difference of views, and hopefully each person making their own decisions and not simply blindly following what is on TV no matter the channel.
Simply put, the entire TV industry leans in favor of the networks. TV providers do their best to provide the variety within that. But that leaves no al-a-carte (pick and choose exact channels) option for us customers.
What I do find problematic is when someone is berated for what they choose to watch when their wife is not looking, as if the wife has absolute say in what they are allowed to watch and what is forbidden. I've seen too many toxic relationships where one does not respect the other as an individual and are not allowed to like or be interested in different things.

This thread has run its course. It's sad that folks can't be polite with each other.
