Returning equipment

We cancelled service, have a zero account balance, but still haven't received the equipment return information. The wait time to ask questions about returning is insane. I waited over an hour and never got a tech. How did I get the equipment returned, or have returns been stopped because of Covid-19?

What are your equipment model numbers? Older equipment doesn't need to be returned. Newer equipment should be taken to a UPS or FedEx Shipping Center with your account information. They'll box it up and ship it for you.

I have the same question. My equipment is a model HR54-700 DIRECTV Satelitte Receiver. When I cancelled they said something about receiving an email to return but I have not seen it yet and my service was disconnected on 4/8/2020.

HR54 is the 3rd generation Genie so is absolutely returnable. Email would just be general instructions. So here they are.

How To Return The Equipment

Go to a FedEx or UPS location with your account #. No need to bring a box or label, the equipment will be boxed it up & shipped out at no charge. The process takes less than 5 minutes.

Find FedEx Office locations at www.fedex.com/attreturns.

Find The UPS Store locations at www.theupsstore.com/locations.

Also they have temporarily extended the return time frame from 21 days to 60 because of all the delays. Best to get it in as soon as possible of course. Just make sure to keep receipt showing they took possession.

You now have 60 days to take it to a UPS/FedEx store with your account info to scan them in, keep the receipt.
