DTV has no control over what a channel does with their programing and since they are charging more for those reruns DTV and all other providers can do is pass it on to the customer.

Hi. You thread lack details so let me just tell you the possible reasons why there's an increase to a bill...

1. Expired promotion/discount. This is one of the common thing that greatly impact someone else's bill. You may want to check your previous statements and compare it to the most recent bill. You may see something like this... "$55.00 off regular price for 12 Months (expires Dec 29, 2017)" or any loyalty offer.

2. Annual Increase. AT&T had this annual increased last January. Check the website to know more: https://www.att.com/support/article/directv/KM1314015 .

3. Account Changes. Lastly, your bill may increase or decrease depending on what type of change happened in your account. Upgrading your programming package will basically increase your bill.

Bill would not change every month. Intro discount is for 1st 12 months, after which it should go to full cost.

Because of increasing costs from the networks, there is the annual price adjustment that goes through at the beginning of the year. DirecTV's costs go up, then our bills go up. This year that was no more than $10 depending on what you have.

Review the channels you watch. Also check any optional services you have. At almost $200 that means you have higher options that cost more. So reduce where needed.

Remember no TV provider has control over what shows, new or reruns, are on. That is set by the channels themselves.

You have to call to find out when you contract ends DTV only increases fees in the beginning of the year so the bill shouldn't go up every month so you need to check your bills to see what is changing.
