DTV has no control over what a channel does with their programing and since they are charging more for those reruns DTV and all other providers can do is pass it on to the customer.

1. Expired promotion/discount. This is one of the common thing that greatly impact someone else's bill. You may want to check your previous statements and compare it to the most recent bill. You may see something like this... "$55.00 off regular price for 12 Months (expires Dec 29, 2017)" or any loyalty offer.
2. Annual Increase. AT&T had this annual increased last January. Check the website to know more: https://www.att.com/support/article/directv/KM1314015 .
3. Account Changes. Lastly, your bill may increase or decrease depending on what type of change happened in your account. Upgrading your programming package will basically increase your bill.

You have to call to find out when you contract ends DTV only increases fees in the beginning of the year so the bill shouldn't go up every month so you need to check your bills to see what is changing.
