Total Choice Service Package
I have the Total Choice package with no local channels. (Local TV stations are not offered in my area.)
I print out my current channels periodically because DirecTV makes changes without notifying customers. OK, fair enough.
I printed out the channel package yesterday and found the number of listed channels had been cut roughly in half. However, many of the no-longer-listed channels are still there; for examples, A&E, AMC, Fox News, and the CSPAN channels are still there even though they don't show up on the printout.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?

DirecTV's website doesn't seem to be updating channel lineups for grandfathered packages. Because some channels have been included in more packages, a lot of those expired ones you end up paying more with no benefit. For example, AMC is now as low as the Select package.
I would check the channels you watch against the lineups of the current packages. As long as what you watch is in Choice or lower, then that should be cheaper than the old Total Choice. But if in Xtra or higher, it may be ok to stay on the old one.
