Why am i paying $25.00 a month for sports when there are not any?
HI, i have called and chatted reg the $13.00 Sports Pack Charge and $9.99 regional sport fee on my bill. I have been told that DirecTV was evaluating how this was being handled and to expect a credit. To date I have received no credit. When and how much will the credit be? My Regional Sports fee went up from $8.49 to $9.99 in March, which makes
absolutely no sense as that is when the sports stopped. Why would you raise the price when there were not any.

You can remove the sports pack at anytime but the RSN fees can only be removed by lowering your package below choice.
RSNs are providing programming 24/7 365 so are payed just like a regular channel and they are the ones that raised their price so DTV has to raise the bill.

The Sports Pack ($13.99 if you have no other premium packs) is an optional service, covering over 35 Regional and specialty sport networks.. So you pay for it as long as you have it. Covid-19 doesn't remove all programming. As long as you have those channels and there is something on, then you pay for it.
Th RSN fee is for packages Choice and above as you have your in-market RSNs included. As long as there is programming on those channels, then you pay for them. The fee went up as the RSNs and specific professional teams in your area charge more. The only way to remove the fee is to reduce package below Choice. Otherwise as long as your RSNs provide programming, you pay for it. DirecTV like all TV providers makes no guarantee as to what programming is on the channel. They can only pass on the broadcast as received.
