WHY CANT I GET THE LESSER PRICE FOR MY SERVICE AS NEW USERS GET?

I HAVE HAD DIRECT TV FOR THE LONGEST TIME IT IS A GOOD SERVICE. HOWEVER WHEN MY DISCOUNT RUNS OUT YOU WANT TO CHARGE ME THE REGULAR PRICE. SINCE I AM A LOYAL USER WHY DONT THE DISCOUNT PRICE REMAIN FOR AS LONG AS I AM A DIRECT TV CUSTOMER, INSTEAD OF CHARGING ME TWICE THE PRICE FOR THE SAME DICOUNTED SERVICE WHEN MY TIME IS UP. YOU WOULD THINK YOU WOULD LIKE TO KEEP YOUR LOYAL PAYING CUSTOMERS!

Discounts are a TEMPOARY PERK. Nobody gets discounts for life. Because there is a lot of people out there who got too much in discounts, their CEO announced that discounts will be pulled back. They are weeding out customers who are hemorrhaging the business.

Giving away service at less than it costs is not how you keep loyal customers. That is how you go out of business because you are not making a profit.

So now is the time to wake up. Pay TV is not a cheap service. If it is too high for you, then adjust services accordingly. The reality is that if you cannot afford it without discounts, then you cannot afford it. So it is up to you to make wise financial decisions for your budget, instead of expecting the company to do it for you with discounts.

THE SAME REASON THAT CREDIT CARD COMPANIES GIVE LOWER INTEREST RATES TO NEW CUSTOMERS. THEY WANT TO ROPE YOU IN WITH A LOWER PRICE AND THEN JUST FIGURE YOU'LL STICK WITH THEM RATHER THAN CHANGE.

YOU CAN ALWAYS CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SEE IF THERE ARE ANY DISCOUNTS FOR ESTABLISHED CUSTOMERS BUT BE WARNED: WAIT TIMES ARE LONGER THAN USUAL.

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

Simply, even if you are a customer for years, the company cannot give you almost FREE the service if you cannot pay for it if the best option is to change to something that fits your BUDGET.

We all got to be new customers once. Enjoy those deals while they last. It's unrealistic to expect those prices to continue forever, especially when DirecTV is dying a slow death.

The answer is simple: a new customer generates more income to the company, while "loyal" customers tend to want the service at half the price and for the company it is not profitable. remember this is a business.

Too many people don't realize how much TV service actually costs and demand, beg, etc. for discounts. They forget that keeping "loyal" customers who operate at a loss is not good for a business.

Time for people to wake up and manage their services, matching to their budget. If they try to live beyond their means, then that is their fault and should not be demanding "charity" from the business.

They did that me too. They told me that the lower price they offer is only for new customer . I guess

they don't want any long time customer anymore
