Why RT channel??

Why does Direct TV have the RT channel. This is part of the Russian propaganda campaign that is dividing our country. Why should I have to pay money to support Putin? Please drop this channel.

DTV can't and doesn't censor a channels content and whatever content provider that added it to their channel package is the only one that can remove it.

Some folks would say the same about Fox News.

Some folks would say the same about CNN.

It's not up to AT&T/DirecTV to censor channels. We're adult enough to decide what we do and don't want to watch.

Just a variety of news channels with different perspectives. Watch the programs you enjoy or feel are more accurate in their reporting. Refreshing to see one of these post that didn't start off in the "tin-foil hat" conspiracy genre that some other threads had devolved into.

A point I was trying to make is why is Direct tv doing business with a country that is interfering with our election? Is that like giving aid and comfort to the enemy?

Yes Fox News, CNN can be considered propaganda machines but the BIG difference is the are American companies. I do not want Direct TV to censor the RT channel I want them to drop it entirely. By having this channel in the line up Direct TV is using their customers to help support an company that has interfered in the 2016 elections. An will certainly try to disrupt the 2020 elections. I believe that companies that use the public air waves should put country before profit. Just my .02 but I'm not wrong.

The content provider is the one dealing with them DTV can only send what the content provider sends them per the contract.
