For DTV satellite service unless you have a free upgrade coming it will be $99 for a mini client and a $99 service call.

Outside a free upgrade: Mini Genie Client $99, HD non-DVR $99, HDDVR $199.
Be aware that it is difficult to order receivers/HDDVRs directly from DirecTV as stock has dwindled from them pushing a Client-only setup. Authorized 3rd parties like Solid Signal are the alternative if you need the dedicated tuners and recording space.
Whether free or the one-time lease cost, there will be a 24 month service agreement. Adding a TV is also $7 monthly.
