Best way to get DirecTV in remote workshop
I have DirecTV in my home, set up with a Wireless Genie 2 and 3 wireless receivers. I’m building a workshop 150 feet away from the house, so the wireless signal won’t reach. Is there a way to get a signal out to the workshop, either with a coax run or over WiFi? I will be on the same network in the shop. Thanks

150' is the max DTV will run coax but it may work with a little longer run.

Yes, DIRECTV could do a longer run under the grass or whatever. But, I would recommend getting another satellite dish installed on the workshop because signal loss over such a long run could occur. You can put another receiver on your DIRECTV account and put that in the workshop. But, feel free to choose either. This is just my opinion on the matter because signal loss can always occur with long runs.

They say they have a "Wireless Genie 2", which I took to be the Genie-2 (HS17) which has the WVB built-in to connect to their wireless Clients. If so then they cannot get another dish or any receivers as it is a Client only system that all must be connected.
Only if they have any of the 3 generations of the regular Genie line (HR34, HR44, HR54/HR54R1) can they have other receivers so could use a second dish.
