How do I file a claim for property damage?

I own an 8 unit building. My current tenants do not have direct TV and there are 2 dishes on my roof. I have contacted customer service and the number for claims which mentions right on their voicemail that they do not take claims for direct tv though it is the only number I can find for claims. Please help as I do not have an account number because I am not the customer, I am the building owner and customer service will not help without an account number or name. They claim they cannot look it up by address. This whole process is very frustrating.

Landlord deals with tenant.

The tenant who is the account owner deals with DirecTV.

As a landlord you cannot discuss or perform action regarding an account that is not yours.

Since you don't have an account, then you must contact the tenant who has the account as you deal with them regarding any property damage. It is up to them to file a damage claim with DirecTV (if they so choose).

The dishes do not belong to any of my current tenants, so therefor I do not have anyone to contact. These dishes were placed up there without any contact to me. I do not know how long they have been up there or which previous tenant may have done it, so I cannot find any tenant to have this done. As the property owner, who does not want satellite dishes on their roof, I should be able to file a claim.

Simply having a dish installed that you didn't want isn't damage.

DirecTV gets permission from the tenant to install. The tenant is signing off that they have discussed appropriate install location with landlord and that they (the tenant) takes responsibility.

Sorry but you cannot submit a damage claim as it was not your account. If you knew which tenant had it installed previously, you would discuss with them about the issue. It would be up to them if they file a damage claim, or if they simply cover any repair costs themselves, etc.

This is how satellite service works. Your dispute is with the tenant who is the account holder of the service that accepted install, not DirecTV.

As a note, DirecTV will never remove the dish. Once installed it is no longer their property. So if you want it removed, then you will need to arrange that yourself.

The roof is damaged, not the dish. It now leaks into one of the apartments because of improper installation.

Does anyone know of a number to file a claim? I'm not looking for your personal opinions of whose problem it is. My complaint is that I can't find someone at the company responsible to get in touch with.

Claim for what? Either you as building owner or those prior tenants own those dishes. Directv has no responsibility for them.
