You call DirecTV as adding a TV is a form of "Upgrade". If you don't have a free upgrade, it depends what kind of box you get on what the one-time lease cost is (there hasn't been purchase to own for a few years now). You will pay $7 monthly for the additional TV and it does come with a 24 month service agreement.

What are the models of boxes you currently have? This will narrow down your options.

Call 1-800-531-5000 and ask to add a room to your service --If you have a GENIE on your account you could add a MINI to that room for $99 +service visit --if you have a HDDVR --you could add another HDDVR for $199 + service Visit or a regular HD receiver for $99 + service visit.

If they have a Genie (HR34, HR44, HR54) then they can have a HDDVR, HD non-DVR, or Mini Genie Client.

Only if they have the Genie-2 (HS17) would they be restricted to Clients only.

The model number is C71KW -400 and it’s just a a tiny box probably 4x4.  I was told I could get another one for the bedroom tv for ten more dollars a month but I don’t know where to order it?

The C71KW is not DirecTV equipment. It causes confusion as follows the same model numbers as Mini Genie Clients (i.e. C61K for the only 4K Client DirecTV has).

That is for AT&T TV a different TV service AT&T owns.

Yeah sorry for a whole thread about a different service. Really wish they used a different model numbering system to prevent this exact situation from happening.

Glad you got the right order. If you have any further concerns, don't hesitate to reach out to the community. Just make sure you are in the AT&T TV section of course, as we don't want to steer you wrong.

Can I add one additional remote only to my Gemini System? I just had the system installed yesterday, and my wife and I, both in our seventies, need a extra remote. We HAD 2 remotes when we were using the Genie Whole Home system.
