Call DirecTV and talk to the customer retention group. To do this say "cancel" when the system asks the reason for your call. When you get connected to a human tell them you are looking to cut costs and ask if there are any promotions available.
Though you are subscribed to more than that (as there is no base package that is just sports), you make a good point. Too many subscribe to a larger package than they really use, all because they don't like 'losing' something.
I would encourage all to review the channels they mainly watch and verify if they are on the lowest costing option for them.

Downgrade to a less expensive programming package and/or eliminate premium channels. If you are looking for discounts, those are unlikely.
