Unless you have the protection plan remotes are cheaper online and you can most likely get the RCA cable from the same website you get the remote from otherwise you have to call DTV to get them.

I have the protection plan just trying to figure out how to order the products online from the actual directv people. Instead of calling.

RCA jacks and a Genie remote? Sounds like you have a very old TV that is pre-HD. If not, then you should be using HDMI instead.

For the remote, only get through DirecTV if you have the protection plan, otherwise they are $15 and can be found much cheaper through authorized retailers (i.e. Amazon). Make sure you only get a Genie remote for a Genie or Mini Genie.

RCA jacks still easiest to get through an electronics website either way.

No I have the flat screen just the HDMI thing is broke. So i have to use the rca cables.

If the HDMI port on your TV broke, but it has more than 1, I would consider getting a powered HDMI switch instead to make full use of what you have. Just make sure it supports HDCP 2.2 and HDMI 2.0. The HDMI switch would be an optional accessory so up to you to get.

You can submit a claim online for the protection plan. Not sure if everything can be ordered that way, but would be worth to check first before calling.

Though I would consider how worth it the protection plan is. Without it service calls are $99, delivery of replacement boxes $19.95, and remotes (through them) are $15. Since remotes are cheaper through authorized retailers (assuming because they have a bulk deal), you still get free upgrades (usually after 2 years since your last), and you pay $8.99 a month/$107.88 (more if you have tier 2 or 3) a year whether you use it or not it should normally be cheaper in the long run without. Though definitely make use of it while you have it at least. Just something to think about.
