Talk with technical support

We can’t pick up any local channels and the rest of them give us a code of 771. We have tried to contact DirectTV and can not get through to anyone. We have followed all the steps given to us and nothing is working!

What models are your boxes?

Do they each have the problem?

Do you mean that you get 771 on your national channels but something different on locals?

What steps have you tried?

Same thing here. Error code 771 for which we had a service call on March 4th. Moved the dish to a different location. Channels started freezing again and now we can't get any picture. Attempted all troubleshooting that was done when this occurred the last time and nothing works. Checked the satellite for obstructions. none.

i need help with model HR 23-700 has a code22-308 states a problem detected in the storage device Watching TV last night Picture froze up After several minutes Shut the Device off and reboot it still says the same thing

Unfortunately that means the hard drive has failed. You will need to call DirecTV for a warranty replacement which is $19.95 delivery, or covered if you have their optional equipment protection plan. You would expect to receive a HR24, the last regular HDDVR made, as long as there are still some in stock.

Be aware their hold times are very long with several call centers down for Covid-19.

this is extremely helpful! I was on hold for 2.5 hours yesterday, collectively over 3 calls, and never spoke to a technician. In the midst of everything that’s happening, I’m doing my best to practice patience.

We have 771 message. Reset main receiver/sent refresh & pulled plug to restart. Receiver repopulates to 98% then message 771 signal loss on satellite 1 appears. Tried all solutions nothing gets it to populate last 2%. We can’t get into the DIRECT TV channels to try to realign the dish because nobody is in the call/tech center. Is there any authorized services that might still have a call center open or any other suggestions to get into the system?
