TV gets no signal from mini Genie

We have 3 TVs. One is fed by a Genie connected to a dish. The other two have mini Genies fed by coac from the main genie. One TV shows “No signal.” Other than swapping the two minis to see if the problem swaps with them, is there a reasonable priced meter for Genie to mini Genie signals?

No signal on the TV usually means the TV input was changed to one of the HDMI ports the DTV mini is not plugged into, some TVs revert to the ANT input when they lose power.  The Genie streams to the minis there is no sat signal to test.

Cycling thru all of the inputs was one of the first thing that I tried.

Try using a different HDMI INPUT on that TV. And it's not that hard to swap the Minis. That will help you determine if it's a Mini issue or a cable/connection/TV issue. Keep us posted.

The error "No Signal" is from the TV. Means the TV set is getting no signal on that input.

Verify HDMI is secure and free of debris on both ends.

Check that coax is finger tight.

Make sure box is powering on

Don't use 'smart' power strip or HDMI-CEC (if TV has it) as not well for DirecTV.

After all that, then cycle HDMI inputs.

Swapping Minis will determine if box is the issue or the location.

Red button reset Genie. Once complete then do Mini. This gets them to sync back up if Mini wasn't properly receiving and passing along service. Only unplug power for a couple minutes (fully power on one at a time, same order) as last resort as has to download guide and On Demand data again (24-48 hours to complete).

Makes sure TV is updated on software/firmware. Can also unplug power for a couple minutes (as TVs aren't known for having a reset button)

There is no meter for Genie to Mini Genie. They connect or they don't. Wasn't built for consumers to do all sorts of in-depth testing.

Genie is always wired to the receiving dish as impossible to work without it.

Wired Mini Genies are coax, wireless by an independent (DirecTV-only) WiFi network.

If you need more guidance, post model numbers of boxes as informs generation of equipment, any specific capabilities, and if wired or wireless.

Another possible solution is to unplug TV to for a minute and plug back in. I have seen multiple instances where rebooting the TV has fixed no signal.
