What number do I call to get somebody to come to my house to re-aim my DirecTV dish ?

I need somebody to come to my house to re-aim my satelite receiver dish after having some repair work done to the deck that it was mounted on. I cannot find anything on the web site or via the "Chat with AT&T" system that will provide that information. What telephone number do I call to make that happen?

@Juniper Thank you. It will take 48 hours for a technician to come out to re-aim the dish. I looked at it after it was remounted after the rotted wood was replaced and it looks very complicated in terms of number/type of adjustments (most of which seem to use 1/2 inch size bolts). Even with the elevation, azimuth (true and magnetic), lat/lon information, it seems a bit too complicated for me, especially after watching a couple of videos on YouTube. I'll pay somebody who knows what they're doing to make sure it gets aligned properly. At least they won't have to climb up on the roof because it's on the railing of my ground-level deck. I just wish I didn't have to wait 48 hours.

That is quite good you got an appointment only 48hours out, never mind short staffing from Covid-19. Sorry the alignment wasn't within reason to do yourself.

If you have a DVR model and it hasn't lost the authorizations yet, you should be able to watch anything you had recorded. Also some online streaming available in the meantime as a backup. Definitely hope all goes well with the realignment so you have access to your full service.

Fortunately your dish is not on the main part of the roof. Techs are not allowed to leave the ladder so they can stay within updated OSHA regulations.

Yes, I can watch what was already recorded.

I've tried watching online, but it can be tricky, because with the trend away from Adobe Flash Player by the major browser players (Google Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge) and the default settings that prevent or block Adobe Flash Player, some shows are watchable in Chrome, but not in Edge and many are not watchable at all in Firefox.

I also saw a lot of "Cross-Origin ... blocked" in the browser console and had to go in and find an obscure browser setting to turn off that safety feature in order to watch live TV in a browser via my DirecTV.com account. Based on the blocked URL's in those browser console error messages, it seems like some of the advertising segments of the browser pages that DirecTV/AT&T uses are coming from other than *.att.com or *.directv.com sites, and thus the cross-site scripting blocked errors.

Microsoft Edge is particularly challenging because even if you allow Adobe Flash Player while it is open, as soon as you close it, the "allow Flash" setting goes away. Microsoft is quite up front about this, but it does not make watching live TV any easier.

@Juniper Somebody from AT&T came out and took all of 10 minutes to get the recieiver pointed correctly. He was glad it was mounted on the railing of my ground-level deck.

I don't see a button/link to mark this thread as done, but as of 2020-06-06, it is indeed done.
