Gemini Android Version
With respect to the Gemini Box used with satellite, what Android version/security patch are those boxes running? The ones for streaming are still on Android 11 and a year old June 2025 security patch. Thank you.

June 2025 is the last security patch for the Gemini for Satellite. Gemini Air is Android U (OS v14) and everything else is Android R (OS v11). Rhyan, DIRECTV Community Team

That confirms your boxes are running the most current patch.
With your concern on security patches not being as often as you would prefer (as discussed a few months ago) where will you go from here? Will your get rid of your Geminis or do something else?

Good question. I’ve been thinking that over. What I don’t want to face is buying four Gemini airs, only to have them stop receiving security patches in a couple of years. Reminds me of the days when Android phones stopped updating after one or two system upgrades.
Maybe have the boxes segregated on my network. Or, might use Apple TV boxes. I was hoping that maybe satellite Gemini boxes were still being updated, but that didn’t work out.
Maybe satellite with minis?
