Genie and mini's
Just placed an order to switch over from the very old school HD DVR's to the Genie. My question is does the new equipment -Genie and (2) mini's come with remote controls or do they have to be ordered separately? DIRECTTV is shipping overnight so no installer will be coming.

The boxes will include remote controls.

If you got the regular Genie, do NOT replace your HDDVRs with Mini Genie Clients. The Genie works with regular HDDVRs (HR20 thru HR24, and special R22) giving you more tuners and recording space. Plus you don't have to worry about the entire system being dependent on one box to run it all. And you don't lose what you've already recorded as recordings do not transfer.
However, if you were getting the Genie-2 (HS17) that forbids everything but Clients.

They will come with the newer style of remote controls and in most cases the codes are different, but usually they can easily be programmed through the menu system without having to manually enter codes.
