Hello, I have a direct tv hr 21 dvr. I would like to know how I can do a hard reset meaning restore back to its default setting with everything ereased from the unit without using the remote control.

Just wanted make a comment about the AM 21 receiver. Hope everyone else is having fun with it. At set up, half of the channels in the guide don't even exist anymore and channels that do exist don't show up.  I have had to reset the receiver every two weeks or so. I have been advocating for DTV to get Epix since Berlin Station and Deep State. I watched season one of Deep State and some of Berlin Station during the free preview. I just gave AT&T/DTV *more* $$$$$ for Epix. BUT... Today & tomorrow Epix will re-show S2 E1-4. BUT DTV *SKIPS* Season 2 Episode 5!!!

I just got the upgrade from HR 10 to HR 21 and didn't realize until the installer left that I have recordings on the HR 10 that will be lost. I still have the HR 10 and wonder if there is a way to transfer the recordings to the HR 21.
