I have DirecTV satellite service and during a recent storm a message on my TV asked if I wanted to continue watching via streaming. I selected streaming but now that the storm has passed, how do I get satellite feed back? Only way I could do it was to restart the receiver. thanks.

Why does a storm that disrupts my satellite service cause all my shows set up to record messed up by 15-30 minutes? It did happen when I had Dish too, but I don’t know if there is something to remedy this situation. It is very frustrating to have to reset dozens of shows..

Is it typical to lose signal everytime a storm passes over? I have checked the signal strenth of the transponders and most are at 0 with a few in the mid-50s.
