When I open the App to set up some recordings and I try to mark them as favorites the first one I mark works, but after that I just get the “!” and a message telling me to hit retry or come back later. To mark any of them after the first I must open and close the app leaving it closed for 15 minutes

You can not delete shows that are on the cloud. This is not a hard feature to add and it is available to satellite customers.

Many of my favorites are in the guide. Some of them aren't even though their box has a check mark in it. I want the guide to show every channel I have marked in the favorites list.
