New DVR
I just got a repacement DVR (VIP2250) and even though it's off, it is extreamly warm to the touch. Is this normal for this model?

Hi @Spinner70,
The boxes do run warm. We do recommend the boxes be placed in a well ventilated area. This graphic will explain.

It may be my browser, but I don't see a graphic. Anyway, do you consider 93 at the vent when in standby and no drive activity normal? It goes to 98 during use.
Thanks

@Spinner70 My DVR is raised up about 3/4" under all 4 legs, open all around it, and it's on now and is cool to the touch. That's what good ventilation can do.

Thanks. Unfortunalely, it's not working for me. It's still very warm.
Thanks anyway.
