Pace IPH8010 IR Sensor

Hi, does anyone have any infomation on the IR sensor in the IPH8010 receiver? I have the DVR inside my media cabinet and this is the only device my Monoprice IR repeater cannot control. My slingbox remote sensor has no trouble controlling it so I was wondering if the Monoprice could not repeat that frequency.

Also, where exactly is the IR sensor on the box? Thanks.

@xyber233 - The U-verse IR signal is fragile & does not work  with everything. Here is a description - http://www.nilesaudio.com/media/ir.php

It may or may not work with varous repeaters. You should ask monoprice if they have any reports on u-verse. One possibility is that the monprice blaster is too powerful for the u-verse box. You can find out by getting this tape & running a strip across the front of the STB - http://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-2-in-x-150-ft-Vinyl-Electrical-Bundling-Tape-Silver-30002664/202741845#specifications

If you want more features, here is a remote system - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA10V36V4732&cm_re=harmony_remote-_-80-111-080-_-Product

Here is a diary that brings out the features  - https://forums.att.com/t5/Using-your-U-verse-TV/Logitech-Harmony-Smart-Control-Remote/m-p/4028946#M2963

I have the same issue and can not make it work. Were you able to resolve this?

I have an older harmony one and I use an IR blaster to access my pace iph8110 behind a cabinet. The tape made it better, but it is still not great. Two layers of tape was too much. I also tried just using a plastic bag which seemed to work about as well as the tape. Thank you for the suggestion.
