Done without it up til now a few more days is not going to make a difference. I would rather see it done the right way and have no problems then to get it and have to be on the phone for hours or have to put my DVR in disaster recovery mode and loose all the recordinds and settings.

That is exactly how things would have been if they had released the update when the first rumors it would be released in a few days started.

I have to agree. The good news is it's rolling out so everyone will get it soon enough.

I'm in Leander, Texas and I received theupdate the morning of June 9th.... and the sound levels do vary from channel to channel now with some being quite low since the update.

One other annoying "bug" is the fact that now with this update the on-screen guide listings for movies (on any channel) is missing the release date of the movie - in Info and Details.... hopefully AT&T will correct this.

Other than the two items mentioned, the update is nice.

Funny.....I'm in Round Rock and still nothing for me. At this rate, it could be years before everyone in the country receives phase 2.

Now that I see some people in the area still don't have the upgrade, I'm not as annoyed but I am more confused than I wasOdd that Tier 2 tells me the Austin area upgrade was completed Monday if some got it last night and others don't have it at all.

Anyway, here is my story:

Friday the 12th, can't view VOD or recordings from any of the STBsOn the phone with Tier 1 tech supt for one hour and end up with one STB and the DVR with no service at all so they schedule a tech visit for Sat. the 13th between 12 & 4Friday evening, nine hours after the tech support call, the DVR comes to life followed by the STB but picture now freezes when changing channels which it didn't do before.

Saturday the 13th, tech arrives at 3pm and says he can't do anything because the upgrade is in process and he leaves.

Monday the 15th, I call tech support again since I didn't receive any upgradeAfter 45 minutes with Tier 1 they bump me up to Tier 2Tier 2 says the upgrade for the Austin area is complete, there was a work around that the tech should have known about so he could do the work on Saturday and I should have the new client versionI advise that I'm showing TV2 client version 1.6.5686.1 with the old guide and no record ability from STBs and he says I should have IPTV 1.6.1.3 (old) or IPTV 1.6.3.3 (new).  After several attempts to ''push'' the upgrade with no luck, he says the DVR and STBs will need to be replaced and sets me up with a 12-4 visit for Tuesday.

Tuesday the 16th, at 4.02pm dispatch calls and says they are running behind and someone will be out soonAt 6.30pm the doorbell rings and it's a techHe reboots the gateway and one STB, still no updateThen he replaces one STB and does another reboot, nothingHe says he will call OMA (?? not positive on those letters) and see what they have to say and he walks out to his truckTen minutes later I look out and he's gone so I call tech support and request an immediate bump to Tier 2 (which they do)Tier 2 says they have heard that there are some glitches and that maybe I should try to wait a week to see if it finally comes through and call back if it doesn't.

Even though they couldn't fix anything, my experiences with Tier 2 have been goodTier 1 and the techs at the house have been anything but goodAnybody know of similar problems in the Austin areaTotal time wasted on the phone and for techs to arrive at the house is close to 13 hours in five days and I'm not eager to sit around if they are going to come out and I still won't have the upgrade when they leave.  Like I saidTier 2 has tried to help and says the Austin area upgrade was completed as of Monday morning but no one can tell me why I didn't get it or who to talk to about it
Guess I'll just wait for now.

Beleive me, you DO NOT WANT TO RUSH THIS UPDATE!  Those of us with UV since the begining know to be patient.  They once pushed an upgrade to all markets and it brought down the whole system.

If they are doing it like they did with Phase One back in September, not everybody in a certain market will get it on the same day. For example, if it comes to the Detroit area, Detroit may get it first and some suburbs will get it the next day or so, or vice versa.

NEED HELP?
