Uverse receiver stuck in reboot loop

Had repeated power outages last night. About 3-4 times, lasting only a few seconds each time so everything turned back on fine on the TV I was watching once Uverse booted back up. However, I have another TV that was off and I tried turning it on today, and it wouldn't load Uverse. I did a hard reboot on it, and it came up but told me I had to do a software update on it, so I clicked OK on that. This was three hours ago now, and it has been in a repeating reboot loop ever since.

It turns off, then the three dots twice, then a brief black screen with the Uverse logo, then turns off again and repeats the process.

I've looked on here for everything and had no luck with any solutions. I've tried holding the power button down for 10 seconds. I've tried OK + Down + Power, nothing. It's been going on for hours now, so I don't know if I should just let it go overnight and see what happens or what?

It's not a major concern, other than for DVR services which are down throughout the house because of that.

@kschris236 Try this:

If the DVR functions are still not working, try a Non-Destructive Disaster Recovery.

Unplug the power cord of the DVR from the wall or from the back of the box and wait ten seconds. Plug the DVR back in.

When three white dots appear on the screen, unplug the DVR again. Repeat this process two more times.

Plug the DVR back in on the third time and leave in. Three white dots appear followed by a gear with a status bar at the bottom of the screen.

If the Disaster Recovery screen does not appear, repeat the steps above. If the Disaster Recovery screen appears, wait until completion.

If the Non-Destructive Disaster Recovery does not work, follow the steps for a Force Disaster Recovery

Will not erase recordings, can take a long time 15 mins or so. Good luck 😉

I am having the same problem and just did the 3x reboot thingy with no success. My u verse internet is working but tv is stilling booting, then going to 3 dots with the "please wait" then goes to the ATT logo "U-verse" boot screen with the spinning wheel at bottom right, then goes back to the 3 dot tingy again.

Any other options before I call service?
