As to your original question. I use Netgear Orbi and it seems to work well. I have not had any problems (Knock on Wood ) with the two sets I owned over the years.
That is a completely different situation than this thread. I would suggest starting a new thread specific to your issue.
When you do, include as many specifics as you can (without info anything is pure guesswork). Include model of Firestick, which app (old app or the new combined one), software version if available, what troubleshooting (if any) you've tried, etc.

Why does it take SO LONG to connect to Directv through the Fire stick wifi connection?
The other APPS come up right away, but Directv is very slow!!!!
