Hello @david3333e , We would be happy to assist.

Let's try refreshing your receiver and see if that helps.

Please let us know if you need further assistance.

(Edited per community guidelines) why would refreshing a receiver help with a fundamental flaw with the system??

Unfortunately, whomever designed this system was clearly not a sports fan. You cant pad games with extra time, you cant record your favorite teams and you cant pause the tv unless you are recording. Its a horrible sports experience.

@DIRECTVhelp - If you reps can't bother looking at which forum a post is made to (which would tell you which product is being referenced), then how about not bothering to respond either?  This was posted to a DirecTV Stream forum, so it is about DirecTV Stream, not DirecTV, which is what your response is specific to.  I don't expect the reps to get things right every time, but once in a while would be nice.

@david3333e - Unfortunately, the DVR is pretty simplistic and doesn't have the feature allowing you to do a "series" recording on a team.  The best you can do right now is search for the team name, which will get you a search results page showing all the games for that team within roughly the next 2 weeks, and you can select each separately to record.  A pain, but it works.

@Dnoravian - It wouldn't, of course.  And the DVR doesn't offer some features that sports fans would apparently like.  That said, while you can't manually extend a recording, the recordings now auto-extend for some sports on some channels - unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a way to tell in advance whether any particular program with auto-extend or not.  You can pause live TV on some devices, and the assumption is that it is (gradually) coming to all.  Right now, pause of live streams works on the DirecTV streaming device, on all Apple devices, and on Roku devices.  Last time I checked, it didn't yet work on FireTV devices or on web browsers.  No idea on Android devices or Samsung TVs.

Is it a horrible sports experience?  I don't know - maybe I'm not that much of a fan.  I never record sports - if I don't see it live, I make do with highlights.  Being able to do a "replay" works on most of the devices I use (and I assume will on the rest at some point), so long as I remember to hit pause at some point.  And they have the RSNs I care about.  But YMMV...
