Trailers not available on Stream

Renting and buying movies was recently launched on DIRECTV STREAM, so it may not be completely unreasonable that trailers are not yet available. I am not a directv stream subscriber so I couldn’t confirm for you but I doubt this is an issue with your equipment specifically. Just to be on the safe side, try reinstalling the app and perhaps updating it/including re-logging in with your credentials.

Thanks for the reply.  I have since checked on the other smart tvs and another Directv Steam device no trailers.   So I guess it’s a stream thing.   Seems a bit shortsighted  because many of the movies we rent are after watching a trailer (lesser known titles).  

You can always do a search using your voice button on the Dtv Stream device say the name of the movie and "trailer"--the stream box will bring up youtube search results and you can watch a trailer there.

Thanks for the work around.   Figure for what this cost and the fact it was available on DTV satellite it would be on stream also.   

DIRECTV STREAM is still growing. Probably has some hiccups as the new co-owner takes over operations. It is not a pure equivilent to traditional pay TV (like DirecTV satellite) just yet.

Sounds fair.   Hope they bring over features soon because if they want DTV Satellite folks to come over we’re going to expect the same options.   I will say the Cloud Library is nice because it never worked great on satellite.

Satellite DVR recording library is physical on the box itself, not a Cloud Library. Or do you mean their On Demand content which is delivered over internet from each Networks individual library they provide?

Well I meant the DVRs at home would go offline often I wanted to stream with the DTV App, or the content wasn’t playable.   Same shows I can now Stream go figure🤷🏽‍♂️
