DTV can't drop or remove a channel so they may have removed their feed due to falling to renew the contract.

Most ABC channels are local affiliate stations. So ABC itself is not gone.
First check to see if there are channel negotiations in your area as well as the current list of locals. TV Promise - AT&T TV, DIRECTV, U-verse TV (att.com)

If your ABC affiliate is still listed with no negotiation, then please give details about the issue you are having.
