Even if I got it working though my tv, that would mean listening to it using the built-in cheap tv speakers instead of my AV system.

For all the expense and bother, I might as well wait for the dvds.

Unless you could connect your TV or media streaming devices through the AV system.

CBS All Access is a streaming only service, so has nothing to do with DirecTV. With DirecTV you get your local CBS affiliate and access to the On Demand library only. Like some others, CBS is setup to be paid through TV providers for that content plus their separate streaming service.
