“DIRECTV2PC cannot connect to receiver. The protected content cannot be played back at this time.”
Hello,
It seem that this issue has come up a lot lately. I have read other post but none seem to fit my system. I will enclose the Advisor results at the end of post.
The DIRECTV2PC program has been running on my system for a while (months). We use it often for my nephew that lives with us.
I have updated all drivers for the video card, sound card, and monitors. I have multiple displays, one is a Compaq WF1907, and the other is a Samsung 206BW, we use the Samsung to display content from HD-DVR since it is connected using a DVI cable, the WF1907 uses a VGA cable.
I have tried to reboot the HD-DVR by using the red button behind the door. I have checked the network connection to the router. GOOD. Using the Router software I can see the Media Server(HD-DVR) is connected.
I can see the programs that are recorded on the HD-DVR, I can select the program to watch, but when I click on “Play” the system pauses as usual, then displays a message “DIRECTV2PC cannot connect to receiver. The protected content cannot be played back at this time.”
Just notice a download for media share for PC. Should I have this also.
