I think this only affects ABC-owned affiliate stations, not all of ABC. The lose of ESPN will impact folks the most.

Any estimate on how long ESPN channels will be shut down? Customer for 29 years and the one thing I watch religiously is the US Open and all I get is a rude message about Disney Negotiations.

This is why you are paying through the nose, the content providers and local channels want more money when their contacts expire with the TV providers.

This needs to be figured out quick because I’m done if I can’t watch espn during football season.

So much for Disney being consumer-centric. It is all about maximizing profit regardless that consumers pay for these channels plus subscribe Disney streaming service. Ridiculous!!

I also have been a loyal Directv customer for over 25 years. I’m all set to watch my football game (USC v LSU) on regular old abc and 15 minutes before the game starts, Directv takes away my abc channel and espn channel. It was obviously done on purpose. A notice about a dispute with Disney popped up. I was on the phone for 2 hours, waiting and then speaking with a nitwit that had no idea what she was talking about. I finally asked for a supervisor who talked me into some sort of deal for us loyal customers since this is putting us out. So she told me it was playing on the espn streaming and she walked me through signing up for that (which also became a huge problem) and when I finally signed up with Directv saying they would cover the price for a month for me, I find out that I couldn’t get the game on the streaming espn device either. Now I’ve paid extra and still can’t see my game and it’s the second half already. I want to know what you are going to do to get me my channels back. I need them by tomorrow. 9/2/2024. I’m really upset that I missed my game.

Disney is the one that removed their feed to DTV when they could have left it on while they continue to talk.

I am furious that once again we cannot watch abc, espn, etc. on DIRECTV. Can’t believe there is not a way to foresee and avoid this situation!

Come on folks - we pay for direct tv service in advance. So I have already paid for ESPN thru September and I am not getting it! Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Especially when we couldn’t watch the LSU vs USC game on Sunday sept 1! Please get this resolved!

@Scheider No you don't pay in advance, your billing cycle started the day you where installed, on day 2 your bill is made and sent unless you are on auto pay that pays it on that date. Read the TOS that states channels and programming are subject to change at anytime.
