Dodgers & Lakers in Santa Barbara County?

Hello:

I just spoke to a customer service agent and I didn't get definitive answers to my questions. Does DirecTV carry SportsNet LA (LA Dodgers) and Spectrum Sportsnet (LA Lakers)? If so, what is the minimum package you have to order? Lastly, I live in Santa Barbara County, CA with a zip code of 93436. Will I be blacked out of the games?

Thank You,

Phil C.

DTV just added Sportsnet LA a couple months ago not sure about the Lakers. You will need to go to this website to see if you are in the RSN for the teams to see if they are in market and able to see them on the RSN channel and you need Choice or above to get you RSN channels.

@shannon02 Thank you, Shannon. So, I put in my zip code and got this:

I assume that means the Dodgers and Lakers are blacked out on DirecTV.

Not necessarily as that page is not formatted correctly to show all the teams as I get the same page and I'm in LA and in market for the Dodgers and I've tried Juniper's suggestion but it doesn't work for me and I can't remember what he said to do.

I just found this one

www.directv.com/rsn

Go to the page on a full computer, not a smart phone.

Page is formatted poorly and so too many RSNs can get cutoff (common for California)

Click and drag like you are highlighting text and it would scroll down.

However that workaround recently is not working. I can see there is an RSN cut off, so unsure of what the additional ones are.

But yes SportsNet LA for the Dodgers recently came to DirecTV. In Choice or above you get your in-market RSNs. If you are below Choice, raising the package is the only option as it is currently not in the Sports Pack.

Ok workaround has a workaround (ugh they need to reformat the RSN pages).

Highlight text in one of the RSNs. Hold shift and keep pressing the down arrow, as you start highlighting lower text it pulls them up to where it is visible.

For zip 93436 Dodgers and LA Lakers are listed. SportsNet LA (690) and Spectrum SportsNet (691). Both have an ALT channel 690-1 and 691-1 listed as well.

@Constructive

Can we submit a big suggestion about www.directv.com/rsn ?

If an area has more RSNs then fit on the screen, like the OP, they are hidden below and have to do some fancy text highlighting to pull them up. This is a big issue as many people are unsure if they have the Dodgers or Lakers channels as they tend to be in the hidden ones. Page needs reformatting in a big way.
