Error Code 4100 with good signal, every broadcast, and within the US.

This question has been posted previously.  There was a response from ATT that was deemed the best and official solution.  However, is was not any solution.  I have never been able to stream on my phone for a couple years despite uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times.  Yes, my signal is good and it matters not which wifi I am on, still 4100.  It is any and all programming.  I am in the US.  It has not worked in Georgia, California, Missouri, Utah, Idaho, North or South Carolina, or Wisconsin.  May we have an actual solution please?

Here is what Cesar had to say:  This issue can be caused by three reasons, the first is the internet signal you are using is poor or there is no internet connection. Please verify the internet you are using can support this type of streaming service.

Secondly, this can be due to an error with the broadcast itself. To ensure this isn't the case, try playing a different title. If you are able to view something different, the issue lies with the broadcast itself.

The message can also appear when trying to stream outside of the U.S. If this is sp, Directv video streaming is only available within the United States and these services will not be useable.

Hello @CharleeT

We understand that you have attempted resolution to the error code of 4100. Forum research is always great; however, it appears that you have exhausted troubleshooting so far based on your research.

One thing that has our concern is you're mentioning error code 4100; however, you state that you're using a phone. Error 4100 is associated with an Android tablet. The error is basically a "streaming unavailable" which again, is most likely relating to failed connectivity, broadcast issues or a user trying to stream out of the U.S. Another cause can be with a "rooted, or jail-broken" device. Usually that is related to Apple phones where a user has changed iOS software.

You stated that you have a good connection through different Wi-Fi connections and I assume a mobile data signal as well. One thing that we recommend is making sure that you didn't by mistake download the DIRECTV app for Android tablets. In some cases, we have seen problems when trying to use that app when downloaded on a phone. If you're using an Android phone, check the following examples of the DIRECTV app available in the Apps section at Google Play.

Without knowing specifics, this is simply an assumption based on the error. I recommend deleting the app once again, restarting your phone and then download the application again.Login and check the live TV streams.

We are not currently experiencing any errors with our app and streaming is working without issues. The biggest piece is making sure that your device meets the requirements and your network connection is good, Wi-Fi or 3G,4G and 5G connection.

If there are further issues, let us know. Tell us the device type that your using. make/model/carrier, etc.
