How to view DVR remotely

Hi all first post here.

I would like to know if there is a way to view my DVR recordings remotely? I have tried logmein to try and view the direct2PC from my laptop remotely and I only get the sound not the video.

Is ther another way to make this work?

Has anyone else been able to view what they have recorded from a PC/laptop outside of their home?

Going on a trip soon and wanted to be able to not only manage my DVR but view what is on it as well.
