No, it's not that easy. Once upon a time you could call DirecTV and they would temporarily change your Service Address to match your physical location so that you would receive the correct local channels. But they don't do that anymore. You have a few options, though ....
1. Use an off-air antenna to receive the local channels where you're traveling.
2. Contact your RV dealer to ask about getting a DirecTV Travelers Account. This will provide network stations (from either New York or Los Angeles), but it's an additional costly package on top of your existing home account. https://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/contentPage.jsp?assetId=P6730097
Also, what are your equipment model numbers? If you have older non-HiDef equipment with an older RV dish, you will need to replace that equipment very soon. DirecTV is discontinuing SD/MPEG2 transmissions during 2019. They'll swap your old receivers for free, but you'll need to upgrade the RV dish yourself to a Winegard Trav'ler or Slimline dish.

They told me the same thing but I travel full time and change my service address all the time. Sometimes you get someone that does not know what they are doing (most of the time). It is called updating not change of address. Patricia was easy to work with had in done in 10 minutes. I was on the chat on line for 2 hrs with 3 men and 1 woman. They wanted to charge me 199.00 and take a couple of days. I hung up and called and had it done in 10 minutes.

AT&T is no longer allowing change of service address/updates without a move order so the second CSRs where correct, the CSR that did it may get a talking to by their supervisor.

This is a customer to customer forum nobody gets paid here. The only dish that will work after DTV finishes shutting down the MPEG2 channels will be the Winegared Travler and KVH HD dishes.
